Through the use of physical comedy\, Sheridan brings humour and empathy to a topic often misunderstood. \nKate Sheridan expressed her passion for the project\, stating\, “Dyslexia is often seen as a hindrance\, but I wanted to show that it can also be a source of strength and creativity. ‘When Life Gives You Melons’ is not just about dyslexia; it’s about embracing our differences and finding joy in the unexpected.” \nSheridan’s approach to storytelling is both entertaining and enlightening\, using her own experiences and extensive research to inform the narrative. DESCRIPTION:Art Walk is back in Old Strathcona from Friday\, July 12th to Sunday\, July 14th\, with 400 artists lining the streets and parks of Old Strathcona. It’s a fantastic opportunity to discover the vibrant arts community of Edmonton\, connecting with local artists who are excited to share their visual art creations. People are invited to buy art directly from the artists and watch as they create. Art Walk is not a curated event\, the requirement is that it’s visual art\, so there is something for every taste and pocketbook. \nThe three day event is located in the heart of Old Strathcona on the sidewalks along Whyte Avenue between 103 St. to 107 St. Look for us in McIntyre Park\, in the 83 Ave. street closure\, in the bus lanes from the library to Whyte Ave.\, in the 105 St. closures\, and the SouthBark dog park at 106 St. and Whyte Ave. \nYou can check out art from 400 artists daily between 10 AM to 5 PM between July 12-14\, 2024. \nLearn more about Art Walk on their website- https://art-walk.ca
