SUMMARY:Halloween Critical Mass Bike Ride
DESCRIPTION:Join YEG Bike Coalition on October 25th for a Halloween themed bike ride! They will be leaving Churchill Square at 5:30 then riding about 8km to the Strathcona Backstreet Plaza on 83rd Ave. There will be a post-ride social/cash mob with door prizes at the end in Old Strathcona\, for those that would like to join! \nThis is is an all ages and abilities\, family-friendly event. Children on cargo bikes\, bakfiets\, in trailers\, etc. are welcomed to come and play. People on e-bikes\, roller-blades\, scooters or any other other micro-mobility devices are also welcome (basically anything that doesn’t have a gas motor)! \nWhat is Critical Mass?\nCritical Mass rides are to make visible the number of cyclists in a city and remind city administrators that we require safe\, smart\, and effective infrastructure to allow us to use our bicycles (or other human-scale devices like scooters\, e-bikes\, etc.). \nDon’t forget to bring: \n\nHalloween Costumes\nLights\nNoise Makers\nSigns (if safe to do so)\nCamera\nHelmets (Required for children; optional but recommended for adults)\n\nThis ride will have a Halloween theme to it because – it can be scary out there… and it shouldn’t be! \nPlease make sure your costumes keep you warm/dry\, and don’t hamper your vision or mobility\, etc. Let’s have some fun! \nRSVP for this FREE family-friendly Halloween event on Eventbrite here. \nNote: Lime will be offering a discount code for anyone that would like to use one of their e-bikes or scooters for the event. Please register if you would like to take advantage of this and to help us make sure there are enough scooters and bikes available from Lime!
