The show provides free hanging space and performance opportunities for emerging Alberta artists. \nThis iconic event is celebrating 16 years of displaying homegrown art\, from every corner of our beautiful province! \nArt From The Unknown 2022 will be a hybrid event. The online gallery will premiere in October and an in-person gallery will be hosted from November 4 to 6 at the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre. More than 500 visitors are expected to attend this free event\, and artists will have an opportunity to sell their work.

On Saturday\, November 26\, we’re turning McIntyre Park and 83 Avenue into a winter wonderland with our 5th annual Winter Whyte Light Up! Outdoor activities are family-friendly and FREE. Plus\, there will be plenty of hot drinks and winter treats available for purchase and fire pits to keep you cozy. We invite you to start your holiday season in District Whyte! \n \nFree Family Fun: \n\nEPL story time – 5:15pm inside the library and 6pm fireside\nEPL scavenger hunt kits available until 6pm\nFlying Canoë Volant photobooth with Voyageurs\nIce on Whyte live ice carving demonstration\nFirepits across the entire 83 Avenue site\nMusicians\, street performers and roving winter characters (full performance schedule below)\nChristmas carols with the Knox Evangelical Church choir \nDave Jukebox Lee at the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market\nOSBA Info Tent\n\nWe are also collecting donations for the Edmonton Food Bank and Old Strathcona Youth Society (OSYS).
