Winter Whyte Weekends

December 3, 2022 @ 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

There is no shortage of activity in Old Strathcona over the holidays. Whether it’s shopping, catching up with friends, or getting through the chill with a little selfcare – we’ve got you covered!

🎄 Saturday, December 3:

8:30AM: When you think about warming up for the holidays, working out might not be the first thing that comes to mind
let alone outside, right?! But November Project Canada has been doing just that for almost 10 years and group leaders Rob & Lazina are no strangers to helping their community kick off the day with some movement. Join us on Saturday, December 3 for a FREE 30-minute morning workout that will get your heart pumping!

If you’ve always wanted to try a November Project workout but aren’t quite ready for their regular scheduled programming on Mon/Wed/Fri at 6AM – then this is the day for you! We’re even sweetening the deal with some fun giveaways – free coffees (for up to 50 participants) from our neighbours PACT Coffee and a chance to win a prize pack valued at over $200 featuring gift cards from Elements Outfitters, Lululemon, Track N Trail or passes to Float House & Yoga Within!

  • Where: McInytre Park (83rd Avenue between Gateway Blvd and 104 Street)
  • When: 8:30AM-9AM (please arrive a few minutes early so there’s no delay!)
  • What you need: Dress for the weather! All ages & fitness levels welcome – #JustShowUp

🚋 12pm-4pm: Come by the Whyte Avenue Streetcar platform where the Edmonton Radial Railway Society is rolling out a historic streetcar, decked out with amazing holiday decor, lights & music. It’s a great spot to snap a few of your own holiday photos! (The platform is on Whyte Ave, between Gateway Blvd. and 102 Street, right beside the public washrooms.)

🎁 Help us stuff the streetcar full with a donation for 630 CHED Santas Anonymous! Their team will be on site collecting donations for the annual toy drive. Plus enjoy a free hot chocolate from Overflow Cafe, music & other goodies available while quantities last! Here’s a look at Santa’s Wishlist: Most-Needed Toy Donations
