Art Walk returns with a twist

Artists hold paintings and canvases beside text that says Art Walk 2021

One of the most familiar sites of every summer is back for 2021.

The Whyte Avenue Art Walk has returned, with a twist. This year you’ll find artists inside the Army & Navy building in the heart of Old Strathcona.

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through August 1 you’ll find up to 55 different artists set up in the old Army & Navy. It’s a new show every weekend!

Admission is just $5, and children under 12 get in free. You can also get in for free on Friday afternoons, between 3pm and 4pm, if you bring a donation for the Edmonton Food Bank. Walk-ups are possible but pre-purchasing tickets is the best way to get your preferred time slot for your visit to Whyte Ave.

And you’re going to want to make a day of it, because Art Walk patrons get exclusive promotions all over Old Strathcona. You can get up to 20% off select items, BOGO deals (buy-one-get-one), and discounts on coffee, lunch and more. See the latest at Art Walk’s website: Old Strathcona Business Promotions

An artist wearing a mask holds a canvas with a QR code and a speech bubble reads: Show your Whyte Avenue Art Walk ticket to Old Strathcona businesses offering discounts to patrons.

We look forward to making District Whyte an area that is safe and enjoyable for everyone. Please follow all public health recommendations and be kind to one another. Art Walk will be gathering attendee information for contact tracing purposes and masks are required indoors.
