Winter Whyte Light Up Is Here
We love kicking off the holiday season with our annual Winter Whyte Light Up, and this year is no different! Well… it’s a little different. While we may not be able to offer a fully programmed weekend event like in year’s past, we will still be lighting up the district! The lights will remain on beyond the holidays too, allowing more people to safely enjoy them.
It all starts on November 26 as we light up McIntyre Park and fill up the district with winter trees & greenery! See if you can spot the “grinch” trees, festive spruce trees, and maybe even some cheeky gnomes?!
Edmonton Christmas Market
This year, we’re excited to welcome the Edmonton Christmas Market in the historic Army & Navy building beginning November 27. The market will offer a combination of online, in person, and free programming! The priority is to create a safe space for the community to shop with purpose & support unique, diverse, small businesses. Pre-book a shopping time now!
On Saturday, November 28 after you’ve snapped some photos in the park, warm up in the Old Strathcona Farmer’s Market (open 8AM-3PM!) or grab a $2 hot chocolate at The Woodrack Cafe. Participating retailers will be open until 8PM offering amazing deals on this final day of the Winter Whyte Shop Hop.
