We’ve seen some great comeback stories, and we’re so excited to be part of this one as we welcome Rapid Fire Theatre to the neighbourhood! After a 7 month hiatus you can now experience physically distanced shows right here in Old Strathcona at the Backstage Theatre inside the ATB Financial Arts Barns!
That’s right, every Friday and Saturday you can enjoy shows in-person or via live stream online! With help from our friends at Fringe Theatre, they have designed a flexible space that continues to evolve with the safety of attendees and performers top of mind. In-person shows have a capacity of 36 people, and performers are behind plexiglass screens.
“The challenges facing the arts industry are tremendous right now. Being able to say we have a venue where we can embark on our artistic endeavours again safely is exciting” says CK Dhaliwal, Rapid Fire Theatre’s new General Manager.
Arts & theatre have always been an iconic feature of the Whyte Avenue experience, and it shows no signs of stopping. Shows times are 8pm & 10pm and are scheduled to run until the end of December.
