From November 25 to December 18, 2022 all you have to do is share your #WhyteWishes for someone special and you can win. It can be anything from any business, from shoes to jewelry and spa day to dinner at a favourite restaurant.
The Old Strathcona Business Association is granting one gift wish every day.
Here’s how you can win:
1. Visit any Old Strathcona business Nov 25 – Dec 18. (Here’s our full business directory)
2. Snap a photo of that perfect gift or experience for someone on your list (or yourself!).
3. Share your photo on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #WhyteWishes.
4. Don’t forget to tag @oldstrathcona and the business you are shopping at.
We’re buying one gift every day of the contest (max. value $100), and you can enter as many times as you’d like. Follow the hashtag #WhyteWishes to see what we’ve bought and get some great gift inspiration, and check out our Holiday Map for 100+ places to shop.
Bonus Draws
Hit the Ave every weekend and enter to win one of our bonus prizes (also worth up to $100). Just post a photo from one of the weekly theme businesses and you’re automatically entered.
Dec 16-18 🎁 Post a shopping photo or IRL wish at any of the businesses pinned on our Holiday Shopping Map and you’re in the bonus draw for an additional $100 gift.
Previous bonus draws:
- Nov 25-27 🛍️ Post a shopping photo or IRL wish at a participating Shop Hop business
- Dec 3+4 🧘 Post a shopping photo or IRL wish at any health, fitness or wellness biz
- Dec 9-11 🍸 Holiday cocktails, beverages and winter menu items. Post a photo or IRL wish of special holiday and winter menu items at any Old Strathcona bar, restaurant or cafe and you’re entered to win our bonus draw for a delicious $100 gift card.

Contest runs from November 25, 2022 12AM MT until December 18, 2022 11:59PM MT. Open to local residents only in the Edmonton area. No purchase necessary. Maximum gift value is $100. Entries are not limited but only one gift may be awarded per entrant, and winners cannot have won other prizes from the OSBA in the last 30 days. This contest is not administered by or affiliated with Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.
