We’re back with another local feature! We loving learning more about the amazing business owners that make up our beautiful community! Today, we have Little Plant Shop!

WHO IS BEHIND LITTLE PLANT SHOP

Little Plant Shop is owned by Sara and Eric, a husband and wife horticulturalist/ florist duo that grow tropical houseplants and design living art arrangements and terrariums. They began slinging plants in 2012 as a hobby in farmers markets and craft shows under the name Axis Mundi Artistry. In December 2017, they opened their first brick and mortar shop/studio, located in a cozy loft above Whyte Avenue. A year and a half later, they expanded once again and moved to their current main floor location just off Whyte Ave, beside Situation Brewing on Gateway Boulevard.

ADAPTING TO COVID-19

In May, to safely serve the community they launched their first web shop! Online purchases are available for both local deliveries and curb side pick-up between Wednesday through Friday. At this time, the shop is only open for walk-ins on Saturdays and Sundays. They also offer e-gift cards that you can spend at a later date or give as a gift!

HOW WE CAN SUPPORT THEM

“People can support us by shopping online and coming Saturdays and Sundays with masks on. We are only open these two days a week to the public, keeping it to three persons max at a time, enforcing mandatory hand sanitizing upon entry, and trying to eliminate people touching things they are not purchasing. So far it has been an adjustment, but we are happy that we are still able to keep going with our Little Plant Shop! Edmonton does have a huge community of people who understand the importance of shopping local and we greatly appreciate that!” Their stock of plants, pots, and local wares changes frequently, so follow along on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to see what is currently available. Also, keep an eye out for their sweet pup Luna – she comes to the shop everyday, so make sure you say hi! Visit their online shop via: littleplantshopyeg.com
