Warm up your winter in Old Strathcona
We love our coffee and treats in Old Strathcona! And starting February 13, you can help us spread the love for all of the amazing coffee shops and bakeries around Whyte Avenue by purchasing a feature hot drink or sweet treat at one of 13 different businesses.
You’ll also receive a limited edition coffee sleeve or sticker designed by artists right here in Old Strathcona at Curio Studio (while supplies last).
Oh, and did we mention that you could win gift cards at all of the participating coffee shops and bakeries? Yeah, you can!
And we want to know which latte and sweet treat are your absolute favourite. We’ll be awarding gift cards to the winning businesses to two voters – even more reason to eat and sip local this winter. (voting will open February 13)

Best of the fest
We are pleased to announce that The Woodrack Cafe’s lavender latte has been chosen as the winner for best latte. This enchanting latte with its floral notes was a perfect beverage to warm up the end of winter.
And Sweet Treaters selected La Boule Patisserie and Bakery’s raspberry éclair as the best treat of the festival. This is a true raspberry delight, with choux pastry filled with raspberry gel, white chocolate vanilla cream, topped with fresh raspberries and finished with a dusting of raspberry powder.
We also want to congratulate some of the other favourites! Rounding out the top three lattes with Woodrack Café are La Bosco Bakery & Cafe’s green tea latte and Yelo’d Ice Cream and Bake Shoppe’s hot ice cream. And joining La Boule in the top treats are Flirt Cupcakes and their red velvet Oreo cupcake and Under the High Wheel’s pecan pie square.
One voter from each category will win a $50 gift card to the winning business.
